Customer Facing Data Scientists work with the sales team to develop client relationships and deliver data science solutions for customers across a variety of industries. You will need to be comfortable leading technical demonstrations of DataRobot, helping clients develop models that add value to their organizations, and integrating those models into client environments. Ideal candidates enjoy day-to-day data science problem-solving mixed with high levels of customer interaction.

Main Requirements

  • 4-5+ years of real-world business experience
  • Hands-on experience building and implementing predictive models
  • Strong customer interaction skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, writing and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with a variety of technical tools for the manipulation of datasets

Desired Skills

We are looking for an outstanding sales person with a proven track record in enterprise sales to make a significant contribution to our continued expansion. You will be based in Hong Kong and play a key role in leading the sales efforts for key accounts. You are a tenacious hunter who is not afraid of working outside of the norm to drive rapid and robust expansion of the book of business. The primary purpose of the Sales /Business Development Manager is to achieve their overall revenue goal. In order to achieve this goal, you must create a complete territory business plan that generates 4x their quota in pipeline opportunity. You are responsible to identify and qualify opportunities, develop and drive business strategy.

Your Responsibilities

  • Serve as a leader in new business development and strategic partnerships
  • Build a sustainable pipeline for assigned territory or segment
  • Performing web demos and face to face sales pitches
  • Preparing and executing “Seeing is Believing” (POC) events
  • Present solution workshops and other marketing events
  • Proposal writing and follow-up
  • Managing contract negotiations to closure
  • Solicit feedback to refine sales direction, product offering and pitches
  • Upkeep of all ongoing sales activities in CRM including weekly snapshot reporting to senior management team
  • Liaise with inside sales team to pick-up leads generated from cold calls
  • Work collaboratively with marketing team to ensure marketing activities are aligned with sales priorities
  • Independently identifying and acquiring new customers, in addition to up selling to existing customer base using existing and new network of contacts
  • Demonstrate a passion for, and build strong knowledge of, the solutions that we sell
  • Participation in trade show events and seminars
  • Travelling may be required

Your Profile

  • Tenacious and Persistent, doing whatever it takes to get things done with integrity and without excuses
  • BA in Business or related field
  • 8+ years’ experience in sales/business development with successful software solutions sales experience
  • Background in software, technology sales is ideal
  • Born to sell in an intellectual way – conceptual selling comes naturally
  • Proven track record of delivering on sales targets and developing new business
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, negotiation, organizational and communication skills are key
  • Passionate about sales/business results, with a strong sense of accountability, metrics and ownership
  • Must be articulate, have excellent presentation skills selling to executives in a boardroom setting
  • Collaborate with marketing, other sales, service delivery and support teams.

Your Responsibilities

We are seeking skilled developers with a strong background in application and web development for an exciting opportunity within our consulting team. We are a team of highly motivated individuals who deliver on the vision of self-service data discovery using compelling visualization and open source extensibility to drive our customer’s business strategies, processes and workflows. We bring our customers inspired development and innovation, comprising multiple disciplines across user interface design, user experience testing, business strategy, web development, data management and analytics. Your role will be to function as our client’s advisor and foremost developer of visual analytics and master of visualization and information design. You’ll connect customer’s data and create actionable visualizations and libraries for end users to rely on for their day-to-day business decisions. Your technical and analytical expertise will nurture customers to drive adoption and repeat purchases.

Our Data Analytics Consultants use their data and analytical ability to find and interpret rich data sources; manage large amounts of data despite hardware, software, and bandwidth constraints; merge data sources; ensure consistency of datasets; create visualizations to aid in understanding data; build mathematical models using the data; and present and communicate the data insights/findings. They are often expected to produce answers in days rather than months, work by exploratory analysis and rapid iteration, and to produce and present results with dashboards (displays of current values) rather than papers/reports, as statisticians normally do.

You will need to be technically proficient in a wide range of programming languages, software products, development and architectural methodologies and be able to form part of a technical team to deliver complex data visualisation and advanced analysis solutions. You will need become experts with leading Data visualisation and advanced analysis tools such as Qlik, Tableau, Power BI and Alteryx as we well as data modeling and relational databases, competent in design and architecture of complex data analytic solutions, and are experienced problem solving and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

You will interact with clients to understand their business requirements. Participate in technical discussions communicating architectures and solutions. Work is flexible and projects vary in length from single-day pre-sales demonstrations (Seeing Is Believing), to short proof of concept deliveries, through to long-term, large-scale data visualisation and advanced analytics deployment projects.

Your Profile

  • Experience with QlikView and/or Qlik Sense is preferred. Other data visualisation and analytics platform experience is relevant as well.
  • Experience with advanced analytics tools such as Alteryx, SAS, SPSS, R, or MATLAB.
  • Browser development: Extensive modern-browser compatible, standards-compliant web development experience (HTML5, CSS, JS and frameworks);
  • Server development: Significant modern application development experience working in a modern programming language. (C#, Java, Python, Scala, etc.);
  • Experience interacting with RESTful APIs and other integration technologies;
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases and data modeling;
  • Prior consulting, client facing, or freelance experience;
  • Friendly and professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills to forge relationships of trust at all levels of the organization.
  • Data visualization experience is strongly preferred. (D3, Raphaël, Google Charts, Snap.SVG, Highcharts, Chart.js, Dojox, Ico, etc.);
  • Responsive web development experience (Bootstrap, Foundation, media queries, etc.);
  • AngularJS experience or equivalent JS frameworks;
  • Understanding of wireframing, UX design or UI patterns;
  • Cloud automation experience with container services (e.g. Docker) and provisioning tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc) on AWS, Azure, etc;

The Marketing Programs team is the central team that develops, initiates and executes marketing programs. The main goal of the team is to build and execute activities that grow the pipeline supporting our business, create awareness across the region for Velocity and drive innovation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Development, Management, Execution, Coordination of Marketing Programs:
  • Development of marketing programs including messaging and content
  • Agency briefings: artwork, copy, communication plans
  • Responsible for the planning and timely execution with agencies and countries
  • Build the operational execution of the campaigns: CRM set up, eMarketing set up, Social Media, Translations
  • Deliver the programs in a timely manner and according to the goals
  • Reporting and managing the follow up to build the pipeline 

Your Profile

  • Must have experience with marketing programs for enterprise software solutions
  • Experienced Events background (physical and/or digital)
  • Experience in building inbound/outbound marketing communication plans
  • Experience with social media paid and organic campaigns
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing agencies / programs
  • Experience managing complex programs in international environment, preferably IT
  • Good level of experience using CRM, eMarketing, Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Interested in researching, using and adopting new technologies (social, digital)
  • Structured, well organized and able to effectively prioritise competing tasks and be a good time manager
  • Strong work ethic and flexible to adapt to change
