David Schillmoeller
David Schillmoeller was the Former Regional Chief Marketing Officer, AIG Far East (2009-2013) and Chief Customer Officer, Prudential Corporation Asia (2014-2019.
David Schillmoeller has 25 years’ experience in Asian direct-to-consumer marketing operations, where his experience in analytics and digital business model innovation has consistently generated outstanding results for a variety of organizations.
After joining AIG in 1994 and working in NY, London, Singapore and Tokyo, Mr. Schillmoeller was promoted to be AIG’s Chief Customer Officer (CCO) in 2003 in the Far East Region. After running AIG’s largest life & health direct marketing business (Alico Japan), serving as AIG Regional CMO, and a brief stint as Acxiom Japan President, Mr. Schillmoeller moved to Hong Kong to become CCO for Prudential Corporation Asia (PCA) in 2014.
In this role, and in addition to launching PCA’s first Customer Experience initiatives, Mr. Schillmoeller designed and deployed a Digital Decisioning infrastructure for the algorithmic automation of sales, marketing, claims and customer service processes across PCA’s major Asian markets. This A.I. platform, which seamlessly integrates business rules and predictive analytics with customer/agent-facing applications through APIs, has delivered the following results to date:
Supported a >58% increase in health and protection upsells for Hong Kong’s 10,000 agents ( a control group), while also substantially improving profitability
Increased the automated approval of Hong Kong’s medical reimbursement claims from 0% to 26%, while also improving the identification of claim fraud, over-charging and over-servicing
Next on the roadmap is integration with DataRobot’s comprehensive machine learning capabilities and Qlik performance dashboards for “explainable A.I.”, which will further extend the platform’s already world-class capabilities.
Mr. Schillmoeller obtained his B.A. at Williams college and attended graduate school at Cornell and Stanford. He has native fluency in Japanese, speaks conversational (Mandarin) Chinese, and is currently in “stealth mode” planning his next gig!
